I’m a PhD candidate in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. My research looks at the ways in which ordinary people can affect the decisions that affect their lives. My dissertation looks at participatory budgeting in Venezuela and Bolivia. I have also researched social movements, politics and the state in the United States.
